Forum on Eco-innovation, Seoul, 27-28 October 2015

On behalf of the European Commission, the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Korea in cooperation with the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute (KEITI) and the ASEM SMEs Eco-Innovation Center (ASEIC) and with the support of the European Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ECCK), we would like to invite you for the 19th edition of the European Forum of Eco-innovation.

The event explores business opportunities in eco-innovation. It presents inspiring eco-innovative solutions—materials and products—for the circular economy. What is more, it shows collaborative approaches between Europe and Asia to facilitate market access. The Forum is an excellent opportunity for exchange between European and Korean businesses, as well as a possibility to visit the ECO-EXPO KOREA 2015.

Forum on Eco-innovation is a debate on collaborative approaches between Europe and Asia. Is the market access facilitated for SMEs?

Eco-innovation helps achieving greater resource efficiency in production and consumption patterns and results in greater competitiveness for innovative businesses. Eco-innovative businesses, however, face challenges entering existing markets and developing new ones. They must convince investors and potential customers that their products are economically and environmentally viable, and in order to do so they must find new business partners and develop new business models. They must also adapt their solutions—technological or otherwise—to the needs of different countries.
